Erik the Saint (c. 1120–1160), Ericus Rex, was king over large parts of Sweden during the mid-12th century. Although he was never formally canonized by the Pope in Rome, he quickly became the subject of an extensive cult and is considered Sweden's national saint.

Erik belonged to the Erik family and married Kristina, a descendant of King Inge the Elder. He is later described as a just king who laid the foundation for Swedish legislation and church order.
